Labor and Birth Mantras Can Help Empower You

Don’t leave your experience up in the air. Take control of how you want birth to be for you. It’s important to be open to things not going as planned but you can take charge and decide to have a positive experience and trust in your body.

Childbirth is sacred. Sometimes I think we’ve lost some of that. We don’t trust ourselves enough.

Arm yourself with knowledge, powerful affirmations and lots of support!

You can take a free online prenatal class here. The instructor has been an OB nurse since 2001 and really knows her stuff- sign up for free and do the class from your home!

How Do You Use Birth Affirmations?

Birth affirmations work on the same principle of hypnosis.

Hypnosis — or hypnotherapy — uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness that is sometimes called a trance. The person’s attention is so focused while in this state that anything going on around the person is temporarily blocked out or ignored.

There is evidence stating that hypnosis is a safe and effective technique used in medical procedures.

Repeat your affirmations over and over during labor and birth as form of hypnosis.

This will help to banish negativity, anxiety and panic. You can say them out loud, repeat them silently in your head or write them down and read them to yourself.

Grab your set of printable birth affirmation cards and make sure you bring them with you to the hospital.

You can also check out the video below- some mommas may prefer hearing the affirmations read out loud.
